Semi-working build of 2.3.5 on the HP TouchPad

I followed the instructions and double-checked all the new partitions are created and files copied over. However, once I push the android image after putting the device in recovery mode, and hold the Volume UP button, the device just goes back to WebOS but strangely not in developer mode. I have to reboot it to get back to developer mode.

Dont hold the button, press it repeatedly.

Not sure if this is a dumb question or not, does this include the google apps (market, gmail)? Can we install any tablet apps?

No, and yes through adb, but it wouldn't matter considering there is no hardware acceleration.

Sorry but can't understand the reply. So you can install the App Market but you aren't able to actually use any of the apps? Thanx for the response in advance.

I got it to boot to android following the tutorial. Now how do I get it to boot everyother time? Do I have to be plugged in? Do I need to have Novaterm running?

Btw, this method seems brick-free. You can always press menu/home + power and reboot the tablet into WebOS.

How do you get adb to work? I get device not found...

ideas on how to install the cyanogen tablet buttons. with out having any buttons or adb navigation is impossible.
